Siguldas Mājas
3d viSUALIZATIONS
CONTEXT
In the process of revamping the “Siguldas Mājas” website, there arose a necessity for larger-scale 3D building visualizations. I desired to maintain a similar interactive navigation as the old “Siguldas Mājas” website. Rather than burden the architect’s office that created visualizations for the old website, I offered to handle this task myself. Soon, I had the necessary files at my disposal, which I had no clue how to navigate at the time. However, with great interest, I embarked on the journey of learning. Just a couple days later, I independently created the 3D models of the latest “Siguldas Mājas” buildings based on the architects’ drawings.
OBJECTIVE
Acknowledging that the program-generated images lacked vibrancy, I decided to experiment with post-processing for more appealing 3D visualizations.
OUTCOME
This proved to be one of the most intriguing tasks I’ve undertaken. I learned how to install a roof and water drains in ArchiCAD, and how to do some landscaping in Photoshop. While there is still plenty of room for improvement to achieve photorealistic images, the obtained visualizations undoubtedly surpass their predecessors.
