GrafotEka

Visual identity,

web design

Context

“Grafoteka” is the name of a two-person team that, in 2015, decided to create and sell websites. These individuals are my longtime colleague with excellent sales skills, Sandis Priedītis and I. Ironically, it took about four years of active work before we published our own website for the first time.

Objective

Our aspirations were modest – we wanted a straightforward, business card-style website. This site would outline our services, provide easily accessible contact information, and showcase some of our work.

Outcome

During the creation of the “Grafotēka” website, the prevailing graphic design trends included vapourwave and glitch. I was excited about the opportunity to delve into this aesthetic, while Sandis consistently relied on my judgment for matters of style. To give some meaning to our service illustrations, I picked statue images of Greek gods whose domains were somehow linked to what we offer. And voila, here’s the end product!
